Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 87.1/100, a mean average of 88.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 88.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 9.7.

Big fan of your work

I'm very familiar with the vast majority of these albums. A lot of good albums here and a lot of great albums! I was excited to see Define the Great Line at #2. I currently have it as my #1 album of all time. Such a masterpiece. And I was happy to see Relient K taking up the #1 spot. Personally, my favorite Relient K album is Mmhmm. But I will have to spend some more time with Forget and Not Slow Down.

Solid list with lots of metalcore, which is very refreshing on indie site!

An interesting list! Cool to see someone else appreciates the Neon Bible. I'm not familiar with much of the other stuff on the list, so I'm not sure I could give very good recomendations, sorry

Great stuff here! Love most of these albums. You inspired me to dive back into the beautiful Forget and Not Slow Down. My best friend and I are driving and jamming to “Part of It” as I type this. Masterpiece of an album.
